The summer has officially begun and Shelli sure is having fun this summer on 30A!
Capturing this sweet family from Texas was a fun way to spend the day in Watersound, Florida.
Their energy and smiles could brighten any day. With or without Florida sunshine!
When photography is your occupation, sometimes you get the opportunity to work with other artists. When that opportunity arises, it’s always going to be a fun collaboration.
Typically, an artist has a cool “feel” and “vibe” already established. When you throw their incredibly cute (and gifted) family into the mix, it’s even more fun! The Powell family (Mac Powell) from the band Third Day was the perfect example.
Each of these precious children have their own personality and their own gifts. The best way to let that shine was to allow Shelli to work her magic with them with no distractions. Just plain open air and the freedom to play and be a family.
Check out their beautiful children and the cool vibe they individually exude.

These two kiddos are a perfect example of brotherly / sisterly love. They have their own unique little personalities that shine. Together they are even better.
Mom and Shelli consulted before the photoshoot on exactly how to dress these two to set the scene. Their collaboration over the look really pulled everything together: Neutrals with peeks of color to really stand out and simple, clean lines were the perfect accent to this vintage photoshoot in the woods.

Today, I bring you my very best friend in this big world, Kristy Ellis Drinkwater, and her HIP family!
Kristy is a Fine Artist, Owner, and Creative Director at Counterpart Brand & Design, LLC. Adam is the real estate broker at Landmark Realty in Troy, Alabama.
They are truly two of the most talented people I know and I feel so honored to have Kristy as graphic designer for Shelli Allen Photography.
Most of her work is behind the scenes, but you better believe she KILLS it!
The setting was under a bridge. Kristy and I planned and styled beforehand to ensure we were on our A-game for that day.
Then the actual shoot was all fun and play. I was more behind the scenes while they just had a little party under the bridge!
My favorite part of the shoot was engaging with these 2 little youngins! Lola was a little Mama and constantly wanted to help me to make sure Joe was on task.
Joe is a high energy little stinker and it took all I could to keep the camera still while photographing him because I was laughing so hard. Kristy and Adam just sat back and shook their heads!
